There are a number of basic underlying Joomla principles which you will need to understand in order to edit or build a Joomla website, and these are covered fully in our popular one day training courses held monthly in central London.

Our course has been running for over four years in London, and refined based on the feedback and experience of our students. The key elements are an introduction to the core principles on which Joomla is based, and a worked example in which we build a website from scratch, step-by-step.

We also install a copy of Joomla on your laptop to help you practice and experiment away from your live site, and there is plenty of hands on time to ask questions about your own project or site.

The course is based on our popular book, Learn Joomla: A Beginners Guide, which is included with the course, and we recommend that you carry out a number of exercises after the course to follow up and reinforce the principles.

The course is aimed at Joomla! beginners who are developing their first website with this CMS, or or who have had a site built for them and want to know how it works and how to keep it up to date. This includes designers, developers, editors, budding webmasters, or indeed anyone who wants to get to grip with Joomla quickly.

Participants are encouraged to bring along their latest website project to work with and receive hands on support and help in the workshop section.

We encourage students to contact us after the course and you have access to our support forum for follow up questions.

We can also run the course as an in-house on-site course for groups of six or more, and are able to customise the course to cover the specifics of your own Joomla website. Individual one-to-one onsite training is also available by arrangement.
